Lapithas' Farm came from the thought, 'If all is one, everyone and everything being connected, how would you then build your house, grow your food, live your life...?' So this is kind of an experiment. And it will not be perfect. Just as good as it can be. :-)

For the house, I decided that a straw bale house is the best option. Using stone lime cement foundation walls and interior walls (for thermal mass). A compounded soil floor, also for thermal mass. Mostly, but not exclusively south facing windows and green walls of vine to shade in summer. A bio digester for waste, fertilizer and cooking gas. Rainwater for showers and spring water for drinking. Solar panels or small wind mills for electricity, being used in a smart not wasteful way.

Right now there are 73 olive trees there. I want to add nut and fruit trees, berries, veggies, mushrooms, herbs...  a food forest, where the amazing interaction between plants can take place.

I will try to make Lapithas' Farm financially viable, through airbnb rentals, selling olive oil and other agricultural products, .... because the more financially viable it is, the more generous it can be. I want it to be a place, where people can come with their ideas and stay for as long as they want to. A home for everyone who arrives there, and a source of inspiration and support for its neighbors. (I am aware that right now, as I am beginning, and who knows for how long, I need more support from my neighbors than they do! ;-))

The biggest experiment will be, how people can relate with each other in a group setting without establishing hierarchies and power structures, but actively thriving to support the other's highest potential.
